Hi!
We’re a warm, easy-going family in Burnside Heights looking for a caring, reliable nanny to become an important part of our daughter’s life.
Our daughter will celebrate her first birthday in February, and we’re hoping to find someone who will become a trusted part of her world as she grows through these precious early years.
The Role
Location: Burnside Heights
Day: Preferably Friday, although there is some flexibility as we’re currently finalising our work schedules.
Hours: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (10 guaranteed paid hours)
I’m planning to return to work one day per week from November, and we’d love to arrange a few casual sessions throughout October so everyone has the opportunity to get to know each other before regular care begins.
What our days look like
We love spending time:
* Library story time
* Local playgroups
* Parks and nature walks
* Reading books
* Music and singing
* Sensory and creative play
* Learning through everyday experiences
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being present with children, following their interests and creating a fun, nurturing day.
Your role
* Providing warm, responsive care for our daughter
* Preparing and serving her meals and snacks
* Following her sleep routine
* Drying and putting away her clothes
* If you’re comfortable with dogs, taking our friendly Cavoodle for a short walk with the pram
There is no general housework expected. We simply ask that our daughter’s needs come first and that you enjoy spending quality time together.
About us
We’re a warm, easy-going family. Mum is a Maternal & Child Health Nurse and Dad is a Physiotherapist, and we both have a strong interest in children’s health, development and wellbeing.
We value responsive, relationship-based care and see this as a partnership. We’d love to find someone who feels comfortable in our home and genuinely enjoys becoming part of our daughter’s world.
Please make yourself at home while you’re here. Help yourself to tea, coffee and lunch, and if you’re out enjoying story time, the park or a local café with our daughter, we’d love you to grab a coffee or a little treat while you’re out together, our shout.
Although the role is until 6:00 pm, we’ll often be home between 5:15-5:45pm, and if we’re home early, you’re welcome to finish then while still being paid until 6:00 pm.
What we’re looking for
* Warm, kind and patient
* Reliable and trustworthy
* Genuinely passionate about working with young children
* Great communication skills
* Current Working With Children Check
* Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
* Driver’s licence
Pay
* $28–30 per hour, depending on experience
* 10 guaranteed paid hours each week
* Regular pay reviews as the role develops
We’re not simply looking for someone to watch our daughter while we’re at work. We’re hoping to find a kind, dependable person who becomes a trusted part of her world—someone she feels excited to see each week, and someone who genuinely enjoys watching her learn, grow and discover the world.
If this sounds like the kind of role you’d love, we’d be delighted to hear from you. Please tell us a little about yourself, your experience, your current work or study, and what draws you to working with young children.
We look forward to meeting you!
