We're a family based in Melbourne (Kensington 3031) looking for a warm, trustworthy nanny and housekeeper for our 4 year old son. This is a long term position for someone looking to become a genuine part of our family's day to day life, not just a casual arrangement.
**About the role:**
- Caring for our son with flexibility around his routine and needs
- Light housekeeping (tidying, laundry, maple cleaning)
- Some basic errands (post office, dry cleaner etc)
- Basic cooking for our son (and occasionally the family)
- kinder/activity drop-offs and pick-ups, so a valid driver's licence and confident safe driving is essential
- Flexible hours – happy to discuss a schedule that works for both sides but ideally 2 pickups per week
**What we're looking for:**
- A trustworthy, reliable person who treats this as a long term commitment
- Comfortable driving regularly
- Experience working with children
- Danish or Japanese speaker strongly preferred (our son has a personal connection to both languages and we'd love for him to keep that connection alive through everyday conversation)
- Genuine warmth with young children and a calm, patient nature
- Previous childcare experience preferred; police check/Working with Children Check required
