Nanny wanted – Mount Hawthorn 🏡
I’m relocating to Melbourne and helping the family I currently nanny for find a long-term replacement.
They have two lovely children, Dominic (6, Year 1) and Charlotte (9, Year 4), along with a very friendly Cocker Spaniel!
They’re looking for someone kind, reliable, organised and proactive who enjoys spending time with children. The kids enjoy being active, getting outdoors, playing games and doing creative activities, so someone energetic and happy to get involved would be a great fit.
The role includes:
School pick-ups and taking the children to after-school activities.
Planning fun, active and creative afternoons.
Helping with everyday household tasks, including tidying, lunchboxes, dinner preparation and keeping things organised.
Both parents work full-time and generally get home around 5:30–6:00 pm, so the role primarily involves helping with the afternoon routine.
Hours and pay:
The family would like to offer guaranteed minimum hours—for example, 16 hours for a fixed weekly wage of $550—with the agreed amount paid even when they don’t use all the hours, including when they’re away on holiday. The exact arrangement and superannuation details can be discussed directly with them.
Any additional hours during the week, on weekends or over school holidays would be paid on top. There may also be scope for extra household or life admin hours if desired.
They’re hoping to find someone who will build a lasting relationship with the children and bring a balance of fun, encouragement and clear boundaries.
