We’re a young family based in Bentleigh East, we're looking for a warm, experienced nanny/babysitter to support us with our 8-9 month-old boy.
This role is primarily daytime support, with a mix of me being at home and occasionally stepping out for a few hours. We’d also love someone available for the odd Friday or Saturday night (1–2 times every couple of months).
About the Role
- Flexible daytime care during the week, sometimes working alongside me at home, sometimes independently
- Supporting feeding, play, and development
- Preparing simple, nutritious meals for our baby
- Managing a nap and sleep routines
- Lots of engaged, developmental play (not just supervision)
- Occasional evening babysitting
What’s Really Important to Us
We’re looking for someone experienced with babies who can actively support development, including:
- Developmental play – age-appropriate activities that support learning, movement, and engagement
- Supporting babies who are learning to eat
- Confidence in feeding, introducing foods, and building good habits
- Strong understanding of sleep routines and settling techniques
Experience in mothercraft nursing, sleep consulting, early childhood education, or infant feeding support would be highly regarded but not essential, we're open to students ofcourse.
About You
- Experienced with infants (essential)
- Proactive, engaging, friendly and genuinely enjoys developmental play
- Happy, calm, patient, and intuitive
- Confident managing routines (feeding + sleep)
- Reliable and easy to communicate with first Aid/CPR (or willing to obtain)

Our boy is a super smiley, friendly and calm, hes chatty, he loves people, birds, observing and play time - he is super curious and loves all sorts of interaction. He is also a good little independent player as well. as of right now (Mid-April) he's pulling himself up on all furniture and standing, so supporting his major developments is a bit of fun!
