Meet Sophie: A nanny in Brunswick, VIC

Hi! I'm Sophie. I'm came to Melbourne a year ago from Edinburgh in Scotland (although originally from England). I practice a warm and dependable approach to childcare with over five years experience (nanny, daycare, babysitting), complemented by extensive family-based and volunteer work with children of various ages (ranging from 6 months to 12 years). For the past year, I have been working for two seperate families in Melbourne, as a nanny for their little ones (both 18m). I have worked with children from 6 months to 12 years, siblings and solo I have firm experience in bottles, bedtimes, nappy changes, new foods and other general routines. I love a museum trip, wandering through the park looking for interesting leaves, and generally I follow the playful inspiration of little ones as much as I can! I truly understand the importance of a compassionate and flexible approach to adapt to each child’s individual needs. Every family is different, and I am really keen to learn and grow in different settings; I have experience in maintaining communication with kindness, to create safe, caring, and engaging environments for children to grow into themselves.
