Meet Kerry: A nanny and babysitter in Rose Bay, NSW

Hello! I’m a professional Career Nanny with 25+ years’ experience working with children of all ages, from newborns through to teenagers, around the world. I also have many years’ experience as a Personal Assistant, hold a Diploma in Nutrition and have worked as a maternity nanny, sole-charge nanny, governess, English tutor, proxy parent, agency babysitter and holiday nanny. After recently returning to Australia I am currently working up in Newcastle in a temp role as a sole-charge, proxy parent while Dad works away.

I’ve worked with families from all backgrounds, from private family settings through to high-profile households with staff and security. My experience also includes permanent babysitting and nanny placements through agencies in both London and Australia. I’ve worked across Turkey, Russia, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Singapore, the UK and Australia, with families from many different cultures and backgrounds.

I’m warm, friendly, professional, highly, proactive, smart, responsible, reliable, organised, fun, energetic and adaptable, with excellent communication skills. I’m fun and playful with children and have a natural ability to bring out the best in them, while also providing calm, consistent boundaries and healthy, age-appropriate discipline when needed. I love encouraging children’s curiosity, confidence and learning, and enjoy getting out and about to parks, libraries, educational activities and places where children can explore and have fun.

I have a strong interest in children’s (and everybody’s) health, wellbeing and education. I’m happy to cook for the kids, assist with household organisation and support the routines that help family life run smoothly. My years of PA experience in legal, accounting and film production has given me strong administration, scheduling, travel and organisational skills.

I am available for my new position from mid-October/November. I have my own car, a clean driving licence and I love animals.
