Meet Katie: A nanny in Newtown, VIC

I love working with children because it allows them to have the opportunity to spend time with someone different as well as it gives the parents a hard earned break. it also helps the kids learn how to behave nicely even if its someone different looking after them. I am very kind, compassionate, patient person who wants the best for the kid/s. While the kid/s have their alone time I like to help around the house like cleaning the kitchen or table or putting dishes away., anything to help the family. I have extensive experience caring for children across a wide age range, from 4 months to 12 years of age. I have been caring for children for total length of 7 years both in formal and family settings. My experience includes babysitting/nannying/after-school care and family care, here I was responsible for supporting children’s daily routines(getting dressed, getting fed, doing daily chores, schoolwork), ensuring their safety, and providing a nurturing and engaging environment. I am confident caring for children at different developmental stages and adapting my approach to suit their individual needs.

In terms of qualifications and study, I have my first aid/CPR, Working with Children's check, police check, and license as well i'm a currently studying my diploma of Nursing. These have strengthened my understanding of child development, safety, and best-practice care.
