Meet Tess: A nanny and babysitter in Canterbury, VIC

Hi, I’m Tess! I’m 23 years old, caring, energetic, and genuinely passionate about working with children. I’m definitely a big kid at heart and love creating fun, engaging experiences where children feel happy, comfortable, and supported.

Whether we’re building a fort, getting creative with crafts, playing outside, making up silly games, reading stories, or simply enjoying their favourite activities, I love getting to know each child and meeting them where they’re at. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, listened to, and encouraged to be themselves.

I have experience working with children of all ages and am confident supporting both play and everyday routines. I’m reliable and responsible, and I understand how important it is for parents to feel comfortable knowing their children are in safe, caring hands. I’m happy to help with meals, homework, school or kinder pickups, bath and bedtime routines, activities, and light household tasks to make family life a little easier.

I also bring professional experience and training in education:

* Fully qualified Teacher’s Aide / Learning Support Officer (LSO)

* Currently working casually as an OSHC Educator

* Completing a Bachelor of Education (Primary & Special Education)

My experience in education has given me a strong understanding of children’s individual needs, personalities, and learning styles. I genuinely love watching children learn, grow, gain confidence, and have fun along the way.
