Meet Josie: A nanny and babysitter in Acton, ACT

I’m a reliable babysitter with several years of experience working with children of different ages. For the past three years, I’ve coached netball, looking after multiple teams each year and regularly supervising groups of 10 to 12 kids aged between 9 and 14. This has given me lots of experience building strong relationships with children, managing groups, and creating a positive, supportive environment. I’ve also been babysitting the same family for three years, caring for a 6 year old and a 2 year old. This has involved dinner, bedtime routines, and providing calm, consistent care in the evenings. I’m very active, I row and play netball, and I love getting involved in games and activities with kids. I’m currently studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the Australian National University and am happy to help with homework. I also have a background in music, with piano to AMEB Grade 5 and flute to AMEB Grade 6, so I’m always keen to support kids in whatever they’re interested in. As I’m moving to Canberra, I’m hoping to find a family I can get to know and support long term, and I’m flexible with evenings, after school care, and regular arrangements.
