Meet Martina: A nanny and babysitter in Perth, WA

Hi families! 😊

My name is Martina, I’m 25 years old and I’m an Italian nurse available for babysitting in Perth from 16 November.

👩🏻‍⚕️ I’m a nurse qualified in Italy, with professional experience in Neonatology. While working in the neonatal unit, I also spent my free time babysitting because I genuinely love being around little ones. Caring for babies has been a big part of my everyday life, both professionally and personally, and it’s something I truly enjoy.

I have completed adult and neonatal Basic Life Support (BLS) training, as well as hospital-based training and accredited continuing education courses focused on newborn care, breastfeeding and the management of medical devices.

My nursing background has given me valuable knowledge and practical skills in newborn and infant care. I’m caring, patient and responsible, and I understand how important it is for parents to feel comfortable and confident leaving their little ones in someone else’s care.

* Feeding and everyday baby care

* Nappy changes, bathing and hygiene

* Helping babies settle and following their sleep routines

* Caring for newborns and infants with additional care needs

* Supporting families with twins or more than one little one

I’m available for both full-time and part-time babysitting, with flexibility for weekdays and weekends. Overnight care can also be discussed.

As I’m still improving my English, I can understand it but sometimes find it difficult to express myself fully. For this reason, I would feel most comfortable caring for newborns, babies and younger children, where I can put my experience and practical skills to good use while continuing to improve my English.

I hold Italian nursing qualifications and training certificates, and I’m happy to complete any additional Australian certifications that may be required for the role.
