Meet Lauren: A nanny and babysitter in Bondi, NSW

Hi! I’m Lauren, 30, originally from the UK. I have a strong professional background working with children and young people in residential care settings, with both extensive experience and formal education in this field. My focus has been on supporting young people in their day-to-day lives, encouraging independence, understanding developmental stages, and working towards positive outcomes.

I’m trained in therapeutic care models and have solid knowledge of behaviour management, along with some experience in supporting neurodiverse children—though I understand this may not be relevant to every role.

In addition to residential care, I’ve worked closely with families in more personal settings, including being a full-time au pair for three families, offering ad hoc babysitting, and providing help with household tasks such as light cleaning, errands, dog care, and meal prep.

I’m currently in full-time employment but available for occasional or ad hoc support. I’ve worked with children aged 1 to 17, hold a full driver’s licence with my own car, and can provide references. I also have a UK police background check and hold a level 4 diploma in childcare.
