Meet Jillian: A babysitter in Bondi Beach, NSW

My name is Jill. I am 31 years of age and a graduate of the University of Melbourne. I have a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Media Communication and Psychology. I currently work in film, aswell as babysitting for a family with an 8 month old twice a week (Mon/Tues) I have 5+ years of experience of babysitting. Caring for, looking after and learning from children is something I really value. I always form close bonds with the families and children I work with.

I would describe myself as a kind, hardworking, warm, and positive person. I was a Surgery Care Volunteer with the Royal Children's Hospital for 2 years. During this time, I spent a lot of time with children as young as a few weeks old to children up to the age of 10 and 12. I took kids to the hospital playground, read to them, did arts/crafts with them and also assisted with bottle feeding. I also volunteered with Melbourne City Mission in their ‘community visitors’ scheme’ for 3 years. I visited a lovely lady who had dementia at Arcare nursing home on a fortnightly basis.

I have a lot of experience looking after young children and can provide written references from parents if you would like to read them.
