Meet Ruby: A nanny and babysitter in Forest Hill, VIC

My name is Ruby, and I’m a 23-year-old university student currently studying Youth Work and working casually within the Youth Residential Care sector. I have a passion for providing high-quality care for children and adolescents.

Professionally, I bring extensive experience working with children across a range of ages. I have held positions as both a casual educator and as the full-time Director/Manager of a Before and After School Care (OSHC) service, supporting children aged 4 to 13 in structured educational settings. Additionally, I have provided casual and ongoing in-home care for children from 3 months of age and older, including experience with children who have additional needs or medical requirements. I am currently working as a Home-Based Care/Residential Care worker for MacKillop Family Services, where I provide physical and emotional care to children and young people in residential care, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

I am an enthusiastic, outgoing, and creative individual. I pride myself on being well-organised, punctual, and highly engaging with the children I care for. I am quick to adapt and always eager to learn new skills to best support the families I work with.
