Meet Stormy: A nanny and babysitter in Fitzroy North, VIC

I have been a nanny for four families from Cairns to Melbourne over the past several years and loved every part of it! Amongst my travels, I have spent several months in Peru living with a remote indigenous Shipibo tribe of the Amazon basin, where I studied an array of plant medicine traditions. I have explored many parts of Australia as a solo traveller, though I have planted myself in Melbourne for the time being. I have just completed my Advanced Diploma in Steiner education and will be further endeavouring with my studies as an educator. I have experience as a primary years swimming instructor, alongside many years of personal child care experience. I am from a very big family (8 siblings), and believe it has taught me strengths and responsibilities that are unique to support the independence and growth of young people. I have a very playful, creative, and nurturing energy. I believe positive reinforcement and communication are the pivots that encourage the strong development of confident, vibrant, and thoughtful young people. I have a passion to continue working with children for the rest of my life and use my experiences to strengthen my character and skills as an educator and carer.
