Meet Sophie: A nanny and babysitter in Camberwell, VIC

Hi, my name is Sophie! I’m 21 years old, live in Camberwell with my family and have three siblings. I’m a bubbly, friendly and caring person who loves being around people and spending time with children, especially younger kids.

I’m about to finish my Bachelor of Nursing at ACU and hope to become a paediatric nurse in the future, as working with children is something I’m really passionate about.

I’ve been babysitting since I was 17 and have four years of experience working with children through netball and basketball coaching. I also work in disability support, including supporting children with disabilities, which I really enjoy. I love animals and spending time outdoors!

Through my nursing degree, I have my Working With Children Check, First Aid and CPR certificates, police check and all required vaccinations. I currently work in retail at Chadstone as well as disability support.

At the moment, I’m looking for casual babysitting opportunities, including daytime babysitting and date nights every now and then, as I have a busy schedule. From January to May, before I begin my nursing career, I’ll have more availability and would love to find a more permanent nannying or babysitting position with a lovely family.
