Meet Abigail: A nanny and babysitter in Glen Iris, VIC

My name is Abigail, and I’m 19 years old. I have a lot of experience working with children and genuinely love babysitting because I enjoy supporting their growth in a fun, safe, and caring environment.

I have gained experience with children of different ages through four months of au pairing in Rome with two children aged 5 and 7, as well as babysitting children as young as 9 months old, including caring for a 9-month-old and a 6-year-old together. I also have work experience in a kindergarten, where I developed strong skills in communication, supervision, and caring for children.

During my time as an au pair, I helped with the children’s daily routines, schoolwork, activities, and English learning. I really enjoy helping children learn and develop, whether that’s assisting with homework, helping them practise English, playing games, or doing fun and creative activities.

I’m patient, caring, responsible, and reliable, and I always aim to create positive and engaging experiences for the children I look after. I understand that every child is different, and I’m happy to adapt to their individual needs, interests, and routines.

I have also completed a First Aid course and hold both a Working with Children Check and a Police Check. As well have my own car which I am more than happy to use for anything. I can provide these if needed, as I understand how important it is for parents to feel comfortable and confident when choosing someone to care for their children.
