Meet May: A babysitter in Haymarket, NSW

I truly enjoy spending time with children and creating a safe, happy, and engaging environment where they can feel comfortable being themselves. My experience at Montessori Academy and WeKidz Early Learning Centre has helped me understand how to support children’s development through patience, respect, and creativity.

I have also had the opportunity to babysit children of different ages, including two boys aged 12 and 15, as well as a one-year-old baby girl. These experiences have taught me how to connect with each child in a way that suits their personality—whether that means having meaningful conversations with older kids or providing gentle, attentive care for younger ones.

I love bringing creativity into my time with children through activities like drawing, storytelling, and imaginative play. At the same time, I focus on building trust and strong relationships so that children feel safe, respected, and understood.

I believe that good childcare is not just about supervision, but about forming a genuine connection, being reliable, and creating a positive space where children can grow, learn, and feel valued.
