Meet Sarah: A nanny in Officer, VIC

I’m 18 years of age and just completed high school (class of 2025) and will be commencing an online and practical course for PT and nutrition with AIPT at the Berwick Genesis gym.

A-bit about my upbringing, I grew up as the second eldest child, in a family with 6 children, where I took responsibility of caring for my younger siblings, doing basic housework for the family such as cooking dinners, preparing meals, laundry and basic cleaning requirements. I learnt the importance of taking tender and gentle care of our young ones as children are our future and the environments they grow in shape them profoundly. Moreover the importance of discipline when caring for children but also allowing children to enjoy themselves and learn from their own experiences. My guidance of discipline comes from my active years in childhood undergoing years of self defence, (Brazilian jiu jitsu from ages 6-12 & kickboxing from ages 12-15. However now I still undergo training at the gym in my own personal time.
