Meet Jacinta: A babysitter in Lake Munmorah, NSW

My name is Jacinta. I am a university student at The University of Newcastle, currently studying a Double Bachelor of Music and Performing Arts/ Bachelor of Arts. Due to these studies a set availability schedule is difficult. I am a hard-working individual who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys taking on new challenges. I know working here will benefit me and my career path in the future as learning on the job will help me develop leadership qualities and skills.

When at school, I participated as a volunteer in a variety of community settings, such as: Mini Vinnies, JUMP/Community service. These initiatives at MacKillop Catholic College involve me in fundraising, collecting donations and distributing food parcels. I also volunteered to lead school tours after hours for visiting officials and new families. I would set up stalls for games and or selling items of food for charitable events, such as Pancake Tuesday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or any day something important happens within the school. I also set up stores and second-hand uniforms on Tuesday mornings before school.
