Meet Lotta: A nanny and babysitter in Carlton North, VIC

Hello, I'm Lotta! I'm a Australian-Finnish nanny and textile artist based in North Carlton, where I've lived for 14 years. I'm responsible, playful, creative, warm, and nurturing with a confident and gentle disposition.

My experience with children ranges from birth to 11 years old, including caring for 2 under 5 for three years. I love supporting parents (new and seasoned) by providing a safe and stimulating environment for their little ones to grow and flourish. I prioritise learning each individual families needs and offering tailored support, especially when it comes to sleep approach and learning styles.

My expertise includes:

• Sleeping and settling, overnight feeds, handling EBM/formula, introducing solids.

• Bathing, nappies, eczema treatments, administering basic medications (coloxyl, vitamin D drops, panadol, etc...).

• Sensory, nature, musical, sport, and art activities.

• Supporting milestones (rolling, crawling, walking, introduction of solids).

• Excursions (Parks, gardens, story-time, farmers markets, NGV, Melbourne Museum, Ceres, State Library Kid's Room, 'Bop Along' Music Classes.

I'm also available to care for your children at my own child-safe, Montessori-inspired North Carlton terrace house and cottage garden (a popular spot for plant watering). I'm comfortable with all pets (no allergies) and I have two half Devon Rex cats called Atlas & Sol 🐾

I have a WWCC, Police Check, and have completed an in-person Pediatric First Aid & CPR course via Emergecare *completed 15th Nov 2025. My Pertussis/whooping cough vaccine is up to date ✔️✔️✔️

Happy to contribute to the running of your household by cleaning up after play activities, meals etc... and other light housework (laundry, dishes etc). I enjoy organising, and am very happy to help if there is an area or room that needs a fresh pair of eyes or special attention.

As I don't have my full drivers licence, all excursions and pick-ups will be via walking or public transport, which I am well experienced navigating while with little ones, as my references can tell you.
