Meet Cara: A nanny and babysitter in St Ives, NSW

Hello,

I am currently looking for part-time or casual work and would love the opportunity to support a family in a babysitting or nannying role.

I am 29 years old and have experience working with young people aged 10–25 in complex mental health settings through my studies and previous work experience. Alongside this, I have plenty of hands-on experience caring for children within my own family. I helped raise my younger sister, who is now 12, and have always been the go-to babysitter for my extended family, giving me many years of practical childcare experience.

I am warm, patient, and nurturing, while also being confident in setting appropriate boundaries when needed. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each child's unique personality, interests, and needs, and creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where they can thrive.

I am currently completing a Master of Social Work at the University of Sydney and am looking for work on the days I am not attending classes or studying. I would love a role that allows me to work with children in a more relaxed, non-clinical setting.

I hold a current Working with Children Check, National Police Check, First Aid and CPR certification, and have a current driver's licence.
