Meet Carey: A babysitter in Glen Iris, VIC

Hi mums and dads! I’m currently completing my Psychology Honours degree and I plan to become a child psychologist. I work as a therapy assistant, working with NDIS children who require additional allied health support. I also babysit casually and have extensive experience working with kids aged 1.5+ onwards! I have previously worked as a kindergarten assistant teacher (for ages 3-6) in Malaysia and tutored primary school-aged kids. I currently babysit for a local family whenever the parents need some time to themselves, looking after two gorgeous boys aged 2 and 4. We play lots of games, read, do arts and crafts and I help out with their nighttime routine.

I have always loved kids and my family often say that I have a knack for working with children as kids would often come up to me to play or babysit. I’m energetic, responsible and caring and will always provide a fun and loving environment for your child. I believe in a gentle and nurturing approach to raising kids. Apart from studying and working, I enjoy martial arts and learning different languages. I know 5 different languages (although I wouldn’t say I’m fluent in all of them)! I also love dogs, so if you have a furry friend, I’m all for it!

*My rate depends on the time of day & children (number + additional needs) needing care. My starting rates are below & I prefer to work a minimum of 3 hours. Thank you.*

Babysitting rates:

Weekdays 9am - 12am: $30 per hour

Saturday 9am - 12am: $32 per hour

Sunday 9am - 12am: $35 per hour

Public Holiday 9am - 12am: $40 per hour

Applicable for up to 2 kids. Any additional child $3-5/hr extra depending on age
