Meet Nadia: A nanny and babysitter in Southbank, VIC

Hello, lovely families! My name is Nadia and I am an international student from Indonesia who has been living in Melbourne for the past 2 years. My immense passion for children’s development and understanding behaviour has brought me here to study psychology as an undergraduate, with plans on specialising in child psychology. As a person, I would describe myself as emphathetic, observant, loving, adaptable, and of course, playful! Growing up with 7 younger cousins, I have babysat for children ages 0-11 in the family setting and in the process, gained experience working with each of their different characters throughout childhood. In the professional setting, I have experience with two kids ages 7+, who in addition to babysitting, I taught math, piano, and painting to. I have also experienced caring for special needs children through an internship and teaching a group of children in various classroom settings as a volunteer. I am currently babysitting a 3-year-old girl in the mornings, who I absolutely adore, but I am looking for an additional job to make use of my vacant periods.

As a babysitter, I always aim to provide a safe and loving environment for their growth through meaningful play and other creative means! Your child/children’s well-being (physical and emotional, among other things) will be my priority. My availabilities are quite flexible and open for discussion as I can try to rearrange my classes to better fit your schedule. I would also be happy to run errands and do household chores for your family and just help out in any way I can! I would love to connect and see if I'd be a good match for your family’s needs.
