Meet Grace: A babysitter in Brunswick, VIC

Hi! I’m a preservice primary teacher and textile designer currently working at Merri Creek Primary School, as well as in private childcare. I have worked in childcare for over 10 years and have been part of the Merri Creek community for the past 6 years. I am a patient, nurturing and reliable educator with experience supporting children of all ages.

I love creating engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences for children, including holiday adventures to museums and Scienceworks, active outdoor play, arts and crafts, swimming lessons and interest-based activities. I take the time to get to know each child’s unique interests and strengths, and I aim to foster a warm, fun and supportive environment where they feel safe and confident.

I am confident with all aspects of daily care, including meal preparation, allergies, bathing, sleep routines and settling. I am highly self-motivated and happy to assist with cooking, light cleaning, tidying, and general household support when needed.

I hold a current Working With Children Check, full driver’s licence (with my own car), current First Aid/CPR (renewed March 2025), and my vaccinations are all up to date. I am more than halfway through my Master of Teaching (Primary) and have professional placement experience.

I am currently looking for casual nannying work through the January school holidays and am available all weekdays.
