Meet Tracey: A nanny and babysitter in Fitzroy North, VIC

Hello parents,

My name is Tracey, I'm vibrant, energetic and also calm and have a lifelong passion for working with children.

From an early age, I discovered my love for caring for babies, toddlers, and young kids at 13 in my hometown of Castlemaine. In my 20s and 30's, I worked in childcare centres before transitioning into a career as a professional musician, alongside raising two wonderful sons who are now 28 and 20.

Over the years, I’ve remained deeply involved in caregiving, helping raise my nieces, babysitting for families, and working in aged care as a diversional therapist and a disability support worker.

For the past few years, I have been a regular carer for three children under the age of six, further strengthening my hands-on experience, I have also recently nannied and cared for a family with teenage children.

I strive to create a nurturing, fun, and structured environment where children feel safe, supported, and engaged.

I believe in the importance of routine, ensuring children are well-rested and happy.

I love incorporating creativity and learning into daily activities, whether through reading, music, arts and crafts, puzzles, or imaginative play and love being silly!

With my background in music, I enjoy singing lullabies, teaching songs, and use music as a calming tool.

I also have a strong focus on health and well-being.

I love cooking nutritious meals. I come from an Italian background and it would be speciality, however, I can cook anything you require.

Light household duties are absolutely fine, as I work best in a clean and organised space.

I'm also an animal lover, nature lover and gardener.
