Meet Alyssa: A nanny and babysitter in Haberfield, NSW

Hi, I'm Alyssa. I am a first-year nursing student at the University of Tasmania, Rozelle Campus, and I recently graduated from Wenona School in 2025, completing the HSC. I am currently 17 and turning 18 in early April, when I will obtain my WWCC and police check.

I have several years of experience with children through my local netball club, where I have played since 2016, umpired since 2021, and coached an Under 10s team since 2024, giving me experience working with primary school-aged children. I have also babysat and housesat for various friends, looking after their children and pets. I completed a first aid course on 5 August 2024. My first aid certification is current, and while my CPR has recently expired, it will be renewed as part of my nursing course requirements before September.

I enjoy cooking and am happy to prepare simple meals, and I’m always happy to let the kids help if they’re interested. I also grew up around animals and have a border collie, a rabbit, and a cockatiel, so I am very comfortable caring for pets as well. I am responsible, friendly, and aim to create a safe, calm, and positive environment for the children I look after.
