Meet Roberta: A nanny and babysitter in South Fremantle, WA

Hello families!

My name is Roberta, and I’m an experienced, caring babysitter and nanny with over 10 years of experience working with children from infancy to school age. I started babysitting in high school and have continued ever since, building a wide range of experience across home-based care, nursery settings, and group programs.

I hold a four-year Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Neuroscience, with courses in learning, behaviour, and child development. Alongside my studies and afterwards, I worked for six years in a nursery caring for babies and toddlers, and I’ve also worked in after-school programs with children up to age 12, as well as private babysitting and summer nanny roles for families.

I have extensive experience caring for infants in the home, including feeding, naps, settling, and daily routines, and I’m confident supporting children through different stages of early development. I bring a calm, attentive, and nurturing approach to my work, and I focus on creating a safe, warm environment where children feel secure and supported.

I also have experience working with children with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, and physical disabilities, through roles in schools, hospitals, and home settings. This background has made me especially patient, observant, and responsive to each child’s individual needs.
