Meet Araminta: A babysitter in Parkville, VIC

Hi families! My name is Araminta (or Minti for short), and I’m super excited about the opportunity to work with a family. I grew up by the beach in Perth and moved to Melbourne at the start of 2025 to study a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Physiology.

I come from a big, busy family. I have a younger brother and sister whom I’m very close with, plus 24 cousins, so I’ve been around kids my whole life. I’ve been babysitting for a range of families for over five years and have experience with children of different ages and needs.

Recently, I’ve been caring for a two-year-old girl who is deaf, supporting her with toilet training, nap routines, and engaging activities like park visits and painting. In Year 12, I also worked with a family with three very energetic children, helping with school drop-offs, meal preparation, and general household tasks.

I love keeping kids engaged and active, whether that’s going for walks, swimming, visiting the library, or getting creative. I can’t wait to meet your children and create a fun, safe, and caring environment for them!
