Meet Maia: A nanny and babysitter in Annandale, NSW

My name is Maia and I am an 18 year old girl who recently graduated from PLC Sydney, Croydon. This year, I am studying a Bachelor of Sports and Exercise management at UTS and hoping to also nanny on a part-time basis. I also participate in elite gymnastics competing for Australia at a world open in April of 2022. I coach and train at PLC forcing me to work with kids constantly - I enjoy this immensely and have a passion for working with children and families. I have also completed my Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award which allowed me to volunteer at a After-care centre in Summer Hill. This taught me the basic skills of cooking, cleaning, and nurturing children while also familiarising myself of individual children's interests and how to embrace them and connect with them. While also participating in these jobs and awards, I have nannied for over a year now for ages between 2-13 and am very responsible and competent when driving to and from activities. These experiences have developed my skills in scheduling and managing multiple activities, preparing healthy meals and snacks for kids, assist with homework and projects, organise and facilitate creative activities and games for the children, following bedtime routines and also carrying safety procedures around First Aid and CPR. I also have my provisional drivers licence and a car allowing me to travel to and from places quickly and the opportunity to this mode of transport for other activities with kids.
