Looking for: Part-time, Casual Babysitting
Hi, my name is Lilly. I am a friendly, caring, and enthusiastic person who absolutely loves spending time with children. I have previous babysitting experience, caring for friends’ children both after school and for full days during school holidays. I enjoy creating a fun, safe, and positive environment where children feel comfortable, supported, and free to be themselves.
I currently work as a support worker, supporting elderly clients with their day-to-day needs. While I love the rewarding nature of this work, I am really excited about the opportunity to transition into working more closely with children, as I find so much joy in helping them learn, grow, and develop their confidence.
I recently completed a 12 week university placement in a primary school, where I spent one day each week working with Prep aged children on speech sound difficulties and language intervention. This experience gave me valuable insight into supporting young children’s communication, learning, individual needs, and further confirmed how much I enjoy working with kids.
I’m a very active, outdoorsy person who loves making the most of life! In my spare time, I enjoy running, surfing, fishing, water skiing, going to the beach, and getting out for walks and hikes. I love having fun, and bringing a positive attitude wherever I go. I always have a smile on my face, and I believe it’s so important for children to feel heard, valued, safe, and genuinely cared for.
Alongside childcare, I’m more than happy to lend a hand around the house with light household duties, including tidying, cleaning, preparing meals, and cooking where needed.
I hold a current Blue Card, Yellow Card, First Aid and CPR qualifications, as well as a driver’s licence and a QLD police check.
Availability: During my university break from December to March, I am available all day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, as well as Saturday mornings until 2 pm (and later upon request). When university resumes in March, my availability will reduce to approximately two full days and one half day per week, with my exact timetable to be confirmed in January.
I would love the opportunity to become a trusted and reliable part of your family’s routine and help create a happy, fun, and nurturing environment for your children!
