Looking for: Part-time

Hi! My name is Alyssa and I am currently looking for part time babysitting work. I have a strong background in working with children and love supporting their learning and development. For the past year, I’ve worked in a primary school as Education Support, supporting students both one on one and in small group tutoring roles. I’ve only stepped away from this role to focus on furthering my studies as I’ve recently added primary teaching onto my secondary teaching degree. Whilst I haven’t worked in a formal babysitting role before, I have experience caring for and supporting children through my work in schools. I’m also able to provide references from my previous workplace . I love working with children and am very familiar with the needs, interests and learning styles of primary school aged kids. I’m more than happy to assist with homework or any external study goals. I hold a current Working With Children’s Check, Police Check, have my full driver’s licence, and am trained in First Aid. Additionally I am an active person who loves including physical and outdoor activities in care. Coincidentally I also worked as a cleaner prior to working in schools so I am more than happy to help out around the house. If you would like any additional information please reach out!

Hi there, My name is Cassia, I’m a kind and creative carer who has worked with children of all ages, from 6-month-old babies through to young teenagers. I moved back to Melbourne in August, having spent the last 1.5 years working full time as a nanny in Berlin, running a private nannying service with multiple families and casually at a kindergarten as well. I have excellent references from my time there, as well as from local families here in Melbourne too! I studied as an actor but have also worked as a youth ambassador for REACH organization and been involved in many community and art projects. I am always happy to help with everything that comes with having small kids, housework, cleaning cooking and activities. I love to cook, to sing and play music and come up with creative and fun games. Ideally I’d be looking for evening work, and full days/longer hours if possible. I have a first aid certificate, as well as police checks, WWCC – references are of course available upon request. Rates negotiable.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi lovely families, Welcome to my profile ☺️ 🌸 I'm a young at heart mature woman with a beautiful independent 30 year old son. I have a positive, upbeat & engaging personality. I was a School Captain & have the ability to get along with all types of people. I have done some voluntary work for Single Family camps creating programs for children at these camps & I was responsible for keeping babies, toddlers & even teens occupied while giving Mum or Dad some much needed respite. This was a fantastic experience & I resided at these 5 day camps solely to help out with the other camp leaders in a Voluntary capacity. I have also worked as a Swimming Teacher with the under 5's which I found very rewarding. In my last 14 years working as a Nanny I have cared for twins, multiple children (up to 8 at one time in total) & children with special needs such as autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, asthma, diabetes, eczema & other challenging health conditions. I'm experienced with new born babies up to teens. I am trustworthy & reliable & known for being punctual. I'm a very good communicator. I’m hard-working, diligent, energetic & enthusiastic and a whole lot of fun! I have trained in nursing and paramedic studies. I have had extensive experience with babies and children dating back to the age of 9 when I babysat the neighbours children (including a couple of newborns!).... in total 15 !! I have always been mature & responsible beyond my years. I have been surrounded by children my whole life including my 4 younger siblings and 30 1st cousins! I was a mother figure to my 4 younger siblings as my mother was working full-time as a Nursing Sister & my father was away from home a lot in his job as an International Airline Captain. I have had a lot of responsibility thrust upon me from a very young age! I am Aunty to 13 nieces & nephews & am very close to them & we catch up on a regular basis. I enjoy the spontaneous and honest interaction that children provide and I find it immensely rewarding knowing that I am able to influence and help a child to learn and grow confidently. I'm fair with a gentle approach & can be firm while teaching boundaries. I believe all children require stability and need to know they are loved and lovable as a basic right. I never cease to be amazed at the lessons that children can teach us adults! I am inspired by the enthusiasm that children have when learning about the world around them. I tend to establish a good rapport with the young ones I care for which I find very rewarding. Children are so precious & truly a blessing to be cherished. Importantly I am pro-active with a 'can do' attitude & I have a keen eye for detail so nothing goes unnoticed! I am very safety-conscious so your childs welfare is of utmost importance to me at all times. I can be flexible with time & I am more than happy to work with you to suit you and your childrens ongoing needs. I also do pet-minding/house sitting (many years now since I was a young girl) & have had a dog walking/dog training business too so I'm comfortable with all types of pets. I love all animals. 🤗 *Important to know...... I have had my car licence for 40 years & I'm a very cautious driver with a full licence & faultless record with Zero accidents & no demerits! I look forward to meeting you and your precious children. *My rate is dependent on time of day & number of children needing care. As per industry regulations my rate starts at $35-40 per hour & I prefer to work a minimum of 3 hours. As a tutor helping with homework my rate is the standard rate of $40 helping one student. Thank you. ☺️ *My most recent role involved caring for a newborn baby & his toddler brother which I really loved. Their Mum has written an excellent reference that is available for your perusal.* Thanks so much for reading & have a lovely day! Sincerely Yours Fionna

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi there! I am very excited about meeting and getting to know you. ABOUT ME: I have been providing childcare over the past 22 years, and I have looked after more than 50 children in this time. The last 9 of those years, I have been a Nanny. I have worked with many different families: with 1-4 children; twins with a younger sibling, all girls, all boys, brothers & sisters; with an age range of 9mths - 12 years old. As all children & families are different I like to stay adaptable, to meet the needs of the unique situation. Some children are runners, some are quite contemplators, others always need to be crafting and creating big cardboard constructions, while another is quite happy to sit while colouring in and drawing hrs on end. However they all ask questions non stop, lols. And I love that because of their curiosity, I too learn; from having to google answers to the questions I don’t have answers for, e.g. I now know the oldest living animal is the Greenland shark, and it is guessed to have a lifespan of 250-500 yrs. With the current oldest one guessed to be 300 years old! But I only learned this because one child I looked after LOVED the ocean and all its wonders. :) I find I lean towards the Montessori Method of teaching children. I follow the theme of their current interest for play, games and conversations, and I like to incorporate their current obsession, be it space or dinosaurs into our word & math games and everything else we do together. MORNING ROUTINE; breakfast, lunch boxes, school bag packing, day-care/kinder/school drop offs -For the little ones when at home and not at daycare/kindy. I like to have our week planned. Be it excursions to the zoo, park, an indoor play center, library time or classes that helps their development: that the parents have enrolled them into, or I have found that the Mum’s & Dad’s like; e.g. Gymbaroo, Ready steady go, All Sports etc., to activities we can do at the house like baking or painting or even a playdate with their friend/s. HOUSE MANAGEMENT; groceries, maintenance of pantry & basic medicine (ie expiry dates & organisation), light laundry duties, light house keeping, tiding up after myself & the little ones, keeping the kitchen clean & hygienic, school holiday & pupil free day planning, meal planning, food & meal prep (dietary requirements taken into consideration) multi-tasking and other Ad-Hoc tasks. AFTERNOON ROUTINE; networking with other parents & carers at the children’s school- that the children are friends with or do extra curriculum’s with, extracurricular coordination (this is where the networking can sometimes help with car pooling & swapping weeks), planning of play dates, supervise-assistance with homework and practice for their extra curriculum’s. With additional extras from me if wanted/needed or time permits (eg. Music theory, maths etc.) ***I have help children further develop their music skills with my attention and knowledge than what they get in 1 30min class a week. And I have helped with development of their Math & literacy skills. HOWEVER my proudest achievement was some how managing to help my French charge (when an AuPair in Paris) go from an almost F (from her former AuPair) in her French Class to an A. While I was only at a very basic beginner level with my own French skills. EVENING ROUTINE; Shower/bath time, dinner, oral hygiene, an evening game (if time permits) and attend their unique bedtime routine. HISTORY SUMMARY: •2002-2003 I started child caring when I was 14: for my piano teacher’s son. I cared for him 3 days a week, (after school) from the age of 2-8, while his mother worked from home: I had to master the skill of noise level control, while I was young & noisy myself. •2003-2005 Once I was 16 I began to babysit for other families during the evenings & weekends. •2006-2009 Durning my tertiary studies I babysat casually between my part-time job and classes. •2010-2015 I babysat and assisted as a mother's helper, whilst working 4 part-time jobs. •2016-2017 I was an AuPair in Paris. And fell in LOVE with France. •2017-2017 Back in Melb; I did causal & part-time child-care, for families with babies, toddlers & preschoolers. Until I found a family that needed a Full-time Nanny. NOTE: for the below the ages are how old the children were when I left. •July 2017-July 2020: F/T Nanny—4 Days a week: Full Days, for a family of 5; 3 girls aged: 7, 10 & 12. • Feb 2021-Aug 2021: Temp P/T Nanny—5 Days a week: Split days, for a family of 4; 1 boy aged 9 & girl aged 7. •Sept 2021-Dec 2024: F/T Nanny—5 Days a week: 2 Full & 3 Half days, for a family of 4: 2 boys aged 5 & 9. ESSENTIALS: - Valid Victorian Drivers Licence - WWCC: exp. 26/10/2028 - Police Check: exp. 20.09.25 - Level 2: First Aid (inclusive: Asthma, CPR exp. June 2025, & Epi-pen) exp. June 2027 - CV: with copies of my credentials - References If you have read this far, I look forward to receiving a message from you. ☺️
