Hello, My name is Anaïs, I’m 32 years old, and even if that might sound surprising for an au pair, I decided to take a chance in Australia after going back to university at 28. I’ve always wanted to travel, learn new things, and grow personally. Becoming an au pair has always been a dream, but I focused on my career first. Today, I see it as a wonderful opportunity to improve my English while taking care of children, which I truly enjoy. The people I miss the most right now are my two nephews, aged 8 and 11, who bring me so much happiness and with whom I’ve shared unforgettable moments. I’m a simple, sporty, and curious person, looking for an enriching life experience. I’ve been in Australia for 7 months, and although my English has improved a lot, I haven’t yet had the chance to be fully immersed with English-speaking people. I’d really love to keep improving my English while sharing my own culture and language. I’m organised, responsible, and creative. I love cooking, doing various activities with kids, and creating a happy, caring environment. My age might not make me the “typical” au pair, but I believe my maturity and life experience are real strengths for this role. For full transparency, I am an occasional smoker, but never around children or indoors. I’m available from the end of the month, currently living in Miners Rest (Ballarat), and I’ve been working for the past 5 months in a racehorse stable. Hello! I am from California, USA and I moved to Australia in 2021. I have over 5 years of experience working with children of all ages from 0 to teens, and I have taken care of kids with physical and intellectual disabilities. I will follow your routines for your children, help with homework if need be, but most of all I will be providing helpful developmental milestones through speech, reading, art, sensory, creative play and encouragement. I am looking for casual, part time, or even full time work taking care of your kids. I don't mind if there are pets in the home as I am animal lover as well.

I am a very experienced ex nurse and child carer/nanny. I am mature, no ties and have certificates and references. I have taken care of 2 girls on a regular basis for 9 years. I have previously cared part time for a 11 year old girl for seven years and a five year old boy in my home for 18 months. Ive also cared for a 9 yr old girl on the spectrum once a fortnight and a 13 yr old boy also on the spectrum once a week. I have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren.
