I have worked as a nanny for many years back in my home country (Mexico). I believe it prepared me to be able to work with children, however, by being a teacher I have learned much more than ever, since I have developed more creativity and patience by working with so many children of different ages, as well as many psycho-pedagogical techniques to teach and experiende on how to treat children in different situations.
