Focused primarily on extracurricular sport activities as a junior in a secondary private school, I have gathered lots of relevant skills and experience that I can implement into my job as a babysitter. I think the most important skill I have learnt is finding ways to make education, safety, and 'rules' fun and exciting for children. During my past two years as a netball coach, I have mastered the art of having fun while also making things a learning experience. I have helped solve homework issues, injuries, and friendship problems and taught kids from ages 6 to 16 various life skills, from throwing a ball to applying to their first job. I have also had the pleasure of working at the local uniform store, where I have supported customers through the process of getting school uniforms. This has also come with the challenges of mediating parental and child disputes and supporting kids in overcoming the common body dysmorphia and fears that come with school uniforms.
