I'm a part-time student at Monash University excited for extra opportunities to help out parents and look after the young ones. I'm employed by Code Camp Australia in a teaching assistant position for after school care and holiday programs. I adore working with kids of all ages in these sessions, and always ensure they have fun while learning. Additionally, I babysit on a casual basis for a family of four boys ages 7, 9, 11 and 12, and have spent many hours caring for my cousins, niece and nephew throughout their childhood. I look forward to helping your family in whatever aspects of childcare and housework you may need, so don't hesitate to contact me!

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I'm an experienced nanny with a calm, professional approach, currently caring for young twins. I have previous experience as both a live-in and live-out nanny in the UK, where I formed close, lasting relationships with the families and children in my care. I've also raised two children of my own, who are now young adults. Having been a working parent myself, I understand first-hand how much it matters to have a nanny who is reliable, consistent, and works in genuine partnership with the family. I take routines and parenting preferences seriously and bring both warmth and good judgment to everything I do. Earlier in my career I worked in complex HR roles, which has given me strong communication skills, discretion, and the ability to handle whatever a day throws at me with a level head. I have chosen to return to nannying because I genuinely enjoy working with children and supporting families. The family I'm currently with are relocating interstate, and I'm available from the end of May (potentially earlier if required). I hold a current Working with Children Check, a completed police check, up-to-date first aid certification, and am happy to provide references. We share our home with a border collie/golden retriever cross and a cat, so I'm very comfortable around pets and completely at ease in homes where animals are part of the family.

I am originally from the UK, and I have been in Australia for over a year. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to work in such a beautiful country. My background is in early years, and I have been working with children since 2016 in various capacities. I am a bubbly, empathetic, caring individual, and I have a nurturing, enthusiastic approach to working with children. I like to create a positive, and calming environment for children to learn and grow within. I have worked as a teaching assistant with a child with additional needs, this gave me a lot of experience with adaptability and emphasised the need for a flexible approach to learning. I have been an au pair for three different families, working with children aged 6 months, up to 4 years old. I have cared for multiple children at one time, including caring for twins. I believe understanding the child’s routine within the home is a crucial part of helping families with their day to day lives. As I have volunteered for a family based charity, I understand how important it can be to have people to support families, especially in the early years. I have a wide range of skills, and I am eager to put them into practice. I have a strong work ethic, kindness, patience, and a strong passion for working with children. I am currently working as a barista part time, but i am looking for something more permanent within nannying. References available upon request.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hey families, My name is Marnie, and I'm 34, I have over 19 years of experience in teaching, childcare and nannying and find these roles both professionally rewarding as well as consistent with my personal values. In addition, I have a Bachelor of Education (Primary), Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and a Certificate 3 in Children's Services. Over the past four years, I have been a classroom teacher at a primary school in Brighton East. My role as a teacher has encompassed various aspects of children’s academic, social, and emotional growth. Being a teacher is incredibly rewarding. Not only do you see students’ growth and progress academically, but you can build connections, make a meaningful difference and leave a long-lasting impact on these students' lives. I have a deep understanding of child development, learning styles, and age-appropriate activities. This knowledge allowed me to create engaging and educational experiences for children in my care. I have experience in managing various classrooms and working with diverse groups of students honing my ability to handle different behaviours and adapt to individual needs, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the children I care for. But there is one thing I truly miss, caring for children in their home. Being that person in a household who is spreading kindness, care, and support. Before becoming a primary school teacher, I was a nanny. I have worked for several families within Australia and internationally (USA and Canada). My responsibilities included caring for newborn twins, and older children, following routines (including sleep patterns, feeding, and bathing), assisting with household cleaning, driving children to and from after-school activities, assisting with homework, and maintaining close communication with parents. Whilst I was studying for my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, where I was successful in gaining a scholarship through Swinburne University of Technology, to go to Vietnam. During this visit, I was volunteering in Hanoi, teaching English to prep-aged children. It was a fantastic experience and extended my childcare experience, as well as providing learning experiences in another culture, and participating in their usual day-to-day life activities. Prior to this experience, I was a nanny in America. This position involved living-in with a family in New Jersey, USA where I cared for their two children (girls now aged 4 and 8). Living full-time in the family house meant that it was important that my approach and behaviours aligned with the rules and principles of the family. I've also taken on additional roles working with children, such as a Ski Instructor at Mt Buller Ski Resort and an Assistant Educator at Explorer’s Early Learning Centre. These positions showcase my proficiency and professionalism in the field. I have a mature, responsible, and professional way of caring for children and I pride myself on creating a positive, happy environment in which children can thrive. As I'm a primary school teacher, I would not be able to start exactly at 3:30 pm, as that's when our school day ends. However, depending on where you're located, I could get there by 3:45-4:00 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We have meetings on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I wouldn't be able to start until 5:00 pm.
