Looking for: Part-time

Hey! My name is Nina, and I’m a bubbly, friendly first-year university student with over five years of babysitting experience. As the oldest of five siblings, much younger than me I naturally stepped into a caretaker role early on, which sparked my passion for working with children. I began babysitting for other families at 15, and since then, I’ve cared for kids of all ages, personalities, and needs. Whether it’s helping with homework, organising creative games, or simply being a supportive presence, I strive to create a positive and engaging environment for every child in my care. I am certified in first aid, which gives me- and the families I work with peace of mind knowing that safety is always a top priority. I believe that imaginative play is essential for children’s development, so I love bringing creativity into our time together, from arts and crafts to make-believe adventures. understand the trust families place in their nannies, and I am committed to providing reliable, nurturing, and attentive care.

I am a single mother of a sixteen year old boy, myself. My alternate stream/(s) of income predominantly involve the instruction and assessment of swimming and water safety skills; first aid; resuscitation/CPR; lifesaving skills; advanced aquatic rescue techniques; and, self-defence. With the majority of those students, being children aged between six months and sixteen years of age. I additionally, also facilitate and run, professional development training courses alongside some Lifeguarding roles. Other relevant previous roles I've held, include being a Voluntary Children's Football/Soccer Coach; Volunteer Lifesaving Patroller, Training and Development Director and Mentor for Nippers and Teens for a Life Saving Club; a Children's Party Host; and have occasionally held science "fun lab" and Martial Arts demonstrations for school students at varying levels and certain community events. I am experienced and comfortable working with, and around children of all ages. Many of which, having had different cultural/religious/ethnical/economical/educational backgrounds, lifestyles and abilities. My experience also includes the successful provision of education/instruction, supervision and guidance of children with physical/medical/intellectual/psychosocial disabilities, learning difficulties, mental illness and those on different levels of the autism spectrum, and even overcoming (to a degree) language barriers over the years spent in the above roles striving to assist every child and their parents being able to set and focus on continuously working towards attaining their own, realistically achievable, short/long-term goals over time. I feel that it is important for children to experience the joy and sense of accomplishment, having actively put in the effort required to achieve each of these goals. I believe it is not only beneficial to the child physically/psychologically/mentally, but have also found it can provide their parents/caregivers with a little bit of comfort and more peace of mind, knowing that with every goal achieved - and the effort applied in doing so, carries with it, an expansion of their child's future potential, and opportunities that await them in years to come.

I have extensive experience and knowledge with children of all age groups. I am comfortable and confident with multiple children and meal prep, cleaning and basic household tasks. I have assisted both youth and adults with physical disabilities also. I have experience with neurodivergent children and have studied education support. I am currently studying my diploma of community services through Swinburne, I plan to work for places like Berry Street or other children’s foundations and companies. I have nannied for multiple families across Melbourne and have always created a great experience. I have had other jobs but I always come back to this - I love being able to support and care for children in a more direct and personal manner and in home nanny-ing has always fulfilled that for me. I find this job genuinely rewarding. My biggest achievements in nannying have been creating sleep schedules, helping with attachment issues and bonding with a young child with ASD who had previously struggled with bonding with carers.

Looking for: Full-time,Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi my name is Olivia :) I have been travelling Europe for the past 7 months and got back on the 12th of February and I am now seeking some more employment involving working with children. I have over 4 years of nanny experience. Doing gigs ranging from short to long term help and casual covers Previously to my travels I looked after a gorgeous boy for a year who turned 2 while I was looking after him. I really enjoyed this and had a lovely bond but unfortunately his family moved to Perth. The hours were 8-6pm and I am looking for something similar. Prior to that I nannied casually for a 2 and a half year old boy who I took to the pools often due to my experience with swim teaching (this job was for a few months). Another family of two girls; a 6 month year old and 4 year old who needed my help for 3 months while their old helper was away. A german family who I’ve a good relationship with and nannied for them on two different occasions (a few months stint each time) who stay in Melbourne for a bit to visit family. (They were 6 months and 2 years old the first time and 2 and a half and 4 the following) Before some travels I did in 2022, I looked after a young girl around one years old for 6 months which was also long houred days of 8-5pm. Those two gigs were under an angency called The Reinforcement nannying agency. Which no longer runs. I have been a children's swimming teacher for Elite Swimming where I dealt with a wide range of ages typically (2-13 years old) in group and private situations. Prior to starting nannying 4 years ago i did casual baby sitting for 6+ years for local families where I first gained experience with kids varying ages. I am the second oldest out of four girls and therefore I am very family orientated and have grown up in a household surrounded by other kids which has taught me a lot of valuable skills such as communication and patience. I am currently taking a break from uni, however i was studying a bachelor of science at Monash. I am a very caring, energetic, friendly person who is a reliable, confident, and flexible worker. I believe I have a nurturing nature and genuinely love being around and caring for kids. I love planning activities, playing outside, reading etc. I love being able to watch a child I look after flourish and development into their own unique character. I also am more than happy to help out with cleaning up around the house, preparing meals, bathing etc. A bit about me: I love playing sports (netball and football), being in nature, cooking, listening to music, leading an active lifestyle as well as partaking in spontaneous activities with my friends and always trying and learning new things! I am more than happy to give anymore information required by potential employers and provide parent references. I recently refreshed my first aid, I have a car and have a WWCC. Rates wise: When looking after two children I have typically recieved an additional $5 per hour.

Hello! My name is Emerson. I am 19 and graduated from St Leonard's College in 2023. I have commenced study at Monash, doing a Primary and Secondary Education bachelors degree, specialising in health humanities. I am about to begin my second year of this degree and look forward to progressing my skills in child education and learning. Throughout high school, I worked a casual job at an ice cream shop, Wills Batch, in Bentleigh which provided me with many valuable skills in which I have applied to past babysitting jobs including patience, organisation, communication skills and responsibility. I continue to work casual shifts here occasionally on weekends from time to time. Additionally, I began my babysitting journey when I was 15, initially just caring for my young cousins which gave me experience with a range of age groups from 5-10 as well as gaining new jobs recently with children of various ages from 0-13 years old. Since graduating highschool, I began working part time for a beautiful family with two children, aged 5 and 8. I have gotten to become a part of their daily lives, picking them up from school, cooking the whole family dinner, bath/shower time, and getting them ready for bed. Additionally, I assist with majority of the household washing, putting loads on, hanging washing on the line and folding/putting it away - for both the parents and children. Sadly, I am having to move on from that family and am now searching for my next job! Since I can remember, I have always been passionate about childcare and have wanted to become a teacher since I was a kid myself and would love to help out families requiring additional support, as I know how hard it can be to juggle it all! I look forward to hearing from you ☺️

I am a nursing student who is affectionate, caring and empathetic. As I was the eldest daughter of my joint family, taking care of others comes naturally to come. I grew up taking care of younger siblings, so working around children makes me feel like home. Working as a nanny made me organised, a great planner and communicator. When I was in school, loved to participate in art and recreation activities and have studied children's health as one my electives in nursing. My mother was a teacher, teaching and learning was something I got from her and really enthusiastic about it as well.
