My name is Arwen, I am 43 and mother to a 15 year old. I used to work as a nanny for years before my daughter was born, caring for children from newborn to primary school age.
I grew up in Germany and I trained there as a Childcare assistant and in Paediatric Nursing. I currently study counselling and I also run my own business as an artist (I love making all sorts of art with children!)
Over the past year I have worked as a nanny for a wonderful family, looking after their three year old and occasionally helping Mum with the baby but sadly they have just moved overseas.
I will be working as a nanny on Fridays from June onwards and I would like to support another family this year! I am available for one day per week, on a Tuesday or Wednesday, from June 10th onwards.
I love reading books, going to the playground, cooking and baking, playing games, making art and all the other magical and exciting things young children like to do. I like to offer age-appropriate activities for children while also creating space for unstructured play.
While I don’t have one particular parenting style I do overall apply “sturdy parenting” principles with the children I look after. This means always being respectful of their feelings and emotions while maintaining clear boundaries.
I am more than happy to do light housework and I love pets! I do not drive but I can easily get myself to your home.
I have recent references, a Working With Children check, police clearance and First Aid training. I am reliable, responsible, punctual and will keep your little ones safe. I look forward to hearing from you!
