Hi, I'm Lara. I'm a 34-year-old creative professional who has recently relocated to Canberra and is looking for additional work in childcare alongside my main career. I hold a Certificate III in Children's Services and have over 10 years of experience babysitting, nannying and working in early childhood settings. I've cared for children from 18 months through to primary school age, including after school care, and have experience supporting children with additional needs through inclusive and adaptive approaches to play and daily care. My approach is calm, kind and grounded in learning through play and creativity. I'm available for casual and regular bookings including weekends, and am comfortable with school pick-ups, preparing dinner and bedtime routines. I have been working with children for over thirty years, working with children ranging from new born to 14 years of age. I have first aid certificate and police check, excellent references and excellent resource and materials. I am able to offer a huge range of craft and activities for every age group. I can cook nutritional meals that are also tasty, from stir fry to roasts. I have always loved my work, it is a wonderful experience.
