I just love kids!! I am a mature, loving, gentle, fun and responsible carer. I have been caring for children for over 25 years and am experienced with all ages. I have taught in Pre-school, Long Day Care, created an after-school care program, and been Nannying for several years, and have been babysitting since I was 15. In recent years my focus has been on After School Care, supervising homework, and some tutoring. I am passionate about education and am very consistent and firm, but also caring and kind. I think routine is very important, and I believe in encouraging independence in children, which builds confidence. As I have studied nutrition over the years for my own interest, I believe I have a good knowledge of childrens' nutritional requirements, and feel it is very important. I have worked with several children who have food intolerances and allergies. I love music and dance, arts and crafts. I enjoy extra-curricular activities, sports and always encourage children if there is an interest. I believe a carer is an integral part of a family and enjoy getting to know the whole family. I am available for afternoon Care from 1pm, and evening babysitting. My preference is for a 4 or 5 hr minimum as I can arrive early to do laundry, meal prep etc. for ASC. Prior to this, I was a tennis coach for about 3 years casually and then 3 years full time after having competed through my teenage years.
