Looking for: Full-time,Part-time,Casual Babysitting,Au Pair

My name is Bríd Madden, and I’m from Ireland. I’ll be relocating to Australia end of September early October , which I’m incredibly excited about. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel quite a bit over the years. I love to explore new cultures and new adventures, adapts quickly, and is always eager to embrace new experiences. I have a double honors degree in Psychology and Education from Swansea University, and I’ve always had a deep passion for working with children. Over the past few years, I’ve gained a wide range of experience in childcare and youth work. I’ve worked at summer camps across Germany and the UK, where I was responsible not only for supervising and caring for children, but also for designing and leading engaging games and activities that were both fun and educational. As well as lesson planning and night supervision. These roles taught me how to balance fun with structure and gave me a solid foundation in working with young people of various ages and backgrounds. I have also volunteered with special Olympics and taught both adults and students with Down syndrome to swim and play football. Which I found very rewarding and further taught me about patience and communication. One of my most rewarding roles was working as a Welfare Manager at the Alpadia Language Camp in London. In this position, I was responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers, managing a team of staff, coordinating daily schedules, resolving conflicts, and liaising with parents. It was a role that that thoroughly improved my communication, leadership, and organizational skills, and I found it incredibly fulfilling to create a positive, nurturing environment for both staff and students. In addition to my camp experience, I’ve done a significant amount of babysitting, particularly with children with special needs, including those with Down syndrome, autism, and non-verbal communication styles. These experiences have taught me to be patient, empathetic, and attentive, and I always aim to create a calm, supportive, and joyful environment tailored to each child's unique needs. When I’m not working, you’ll most likely find me outdoors. I absolutely love being active—whether it’s playing lacrosse, football, Gaelic football, swimming, or hiking. I’m always seeking out new experiences and adventures, and I thrive when I’m surrounded by nature and movement. Another one of my passions is cooking. I love spending time in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, trying out dishes from different cultures, and cooking nutritious meals for friends and family. I’d be delighted to share that joy in your home, whether it’s preparing meals for the kids or baking together as a fun afternoon activity. Overall, I’m a warm, dependable, and energetic person who genuinely enjoys caring for and connecting with children. I bring a strong work ethic, a sense of fun, and a commitment to creating a safe, loving, and enriching environment. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions—I’d be more than happy to chat! Warm regards, Bríd Madden

Looking for: Part-time

Qualified Sleep Consultant, night nanny and 24hr live in baby nanny (Maternity Practitioner). Hi families, I’m Jennifer. I’ve been working with babies, children, and their families for over 25 years, and I still feel just as passionate about it today as I did when I started. Early in my career, I worked as a live-in nanny for families all over the world - sometimes caring for up to five children in one household, from newborns through to teenagers (managing the whole household + all of the children's activities and needs). It was during this time that I discovered my love for working with newborns, then went on to study more about newborn care and sleep consulting. In 2006, I became a fully accredited Maternity Practitioner through the Maternity Nurse Training College at Reading University in the UK. I'm also a qualified Sleep Consultant and Doula. For more than two decades, I have specialised in postnatal care, night nannying, and sleep training for babies aged 0 - 5 years. I’ve had the privilege of living in with thousands of families across more than 60 countries, often supporting them 24/7 during those precious early months. I’ve guided parents through everything from feeding and settling to establishing healthy routines - and in the process, I’ve developed a gentle, hands-on approach that helps even very young babies learn to sleep soundly (often up to 10 hours a night with feeds). This depth of experience has also allowed me to create my own style of sleep training for older babies. My methods are baby-led and flexible - I don’t follow rigid wake windows or strict routines. Instead, I work closely with each family to create a plan that suits their baby’s needs and their parenting style. My programs have supported thousands of families both online and in person, and I currently consult with up to 10 families per week while also continuing to work as a nanny and in-home sleep consultant. Throughout my career, I’ve cared for hundreds of single babies, more than 50 sets of twins, and two sets of triplets. I’ve clocked well over 70,000 hours living in with families, and every experience has taught me something new. Outside of work, I enjoy living a healthy, balanced lifestyle - I love travelling, staying active at the gym, and cooking. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found a meaningful career that allows me to support families during what can often be a stressful time - and help make it feel a little easier. Education and Formal Training: • Maternity and Child Certification - International Maternity Institute of America • MNT OCN Maternity Practitioners’ Award – Reading University, London • Doula and Birthing Education – The Australian Doula College Sydney. • Understanding settling techniques and sleep in babies and toddlers – Southern Cross University, Gold Coast • Children’s Sleep Training – MNT Reading University, London • Post Natal Depression Training – MNT Reading University, London • Breastfeeding Workshop – MNT Reading University, London • Baby care for nannies – MNT Reading University, London • Emergency Paediatric First Aid Course – MNT Reading University, London • PaediatricFirst Aid Training – Australia • Sleep Guidance Program – Night Nannies • Dunstan Baby Language Course – Night Nannies Skills: • Educate and assist parents with their birthing plans • Assist with breastfeeding and postpartum newborn care • Implement age-appropriate feeding and sleeping routines • Monitor the emotional status of mother once discharged from hospital • Educate parents regarding their options in sleep shaping for older babies and implementation of a sleeping program • Educate the father and older siblings in aspects of newborn care to support the mother • Convey numerous methods for postpartum care relating to feeding, hygiene, clothing, newborn’s environment. 6am - 6pm: Day rate starts from $60 per hour. 6pm - 6am: Night rate: $80 per hour Full day rate (20 hours): $1500 per day (min 1 week booking - to 6 months).
