I am a young, kind caring girl who loves looking after young children, I also happen to love tidy places up as it brings me joy. I was previously a sports coach for childcares all over Canberra and enjoyed the feeling of making a healthy impact on kids but making sure they were still having fun. I was also a swimming teacher so i am able to keep kids focused and be able to create a good learning environment. I currently have a part time job of a school aged educator doing after school care monday- friday.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I am a mature French born women, have been in Australia for over 30 years (I have dual citizenship), and am back to Canberra. I first lived in Perth where I completed an ‘Introduction to Child Care’ Certificate. Then I moved to Canberra where I worked as a casual relief worker in different childcare centres including the Alkira Child Care Centre and the Australian Institute of Sport’s Child Care Centre (Caretaker’s Cottage). I also worked at the Montessori Pre-School and the French-Australian Pre-school. I stopped working with children when the French Embassy employed me for four years. Then I spent a lot of time around Sydney and did not work for a few years looking after my own daughter. When I decided to work again I found work with the Commonwealth bank. I learned a lot in those different roles but I was missing caring for children, I enjoy their innocence and bubbly joy. I have been working for different private families and especially for Dr Alison Salkeld (Fell) looking after her son, and then his little brother, for 7 years. Since being Penrith area, I worked for 2 years for a familly and did casual babysitting. I believe that over the years, experience as well as being a mother myself, has allowed me to develop more maturity and everywhere I worked I know that I have been appreciated for my qualities of reliability, honesty, integrity, diplomacy and patience. In short, I love to care for children (and people) and always make sure that they are well looked after in every way, i cherish their slower time/space, contact with Nature and encourage their natural abilities. I have a valid driving license and a car, a current First Aid Certificate and I am a non-smoker (also do not drink alcohol). I have a Working With Children check available., also, I am a French tutor, I worked for 2 years teaching French to pre-schoolers and I can assist older children with their French homework or any other homework.

Hi, I’m Sara! I’m currently a year 12 student graduating in Nov, and then commencing a bachelor of Early Childhood and Primary Education at UC next year. I’ve been a gymnastics coach for the last 3 years, where I am responsible for 6-10 children aged 4-12 years old. At this club, I’ve learnt how to interact and work with many different children, so would love to further develop my experience. I have volunteered at a local childcare for the last 1.5 years (during my school holidays), mostly working with children aged 5 weeks to 2 years. This has allowed me to learn further about children’s needs, and how to provide an enriching environment for them. I currently have a Working with Vulnerable People’s card, and am First Aid qualified. These accreditations are kept up to date to ensure that those I work with are safe. I am an athlete, so due to sporting commitments, I may be unavailable during some afternoons. If you have any questions or would like to book, feel free to reach out! (I typically only take bookings from those living in North/Central Canberra. For casual bookings, I include a travel fee of $5 per booking for those living 10km+ away from my suburb)

... been a live-out nanny since Jan 2025. Currently available Mondays to Thursdays whole days. Specifically this year not available: 06-10/02 & 27-28/03. Mature aged but young at heart with a variety of long term child care/nannying experience. I am currently seeking a family for part/whole days Mondays to Thursdays. The family I did care for Mar-Dec 2025 care requirements have ceased so I am available for another family from mid Feb 2026. Outside of this I am not available weekends, not usually Friday or Saturday nights, public holidays, new years & the day after new years day & 10 days mid February every year. Disinclined to do sleep overs. I have hands on experience in art & crafts, knitting, sewing, crocheting & eager to teach these or do activities on my sewing machine which I can bring to your house *highly supervised*. I can supply budget materials at cost. I grow vegetables & fruit at home and have in childcare centres. I am very active, outdoorsy & environmentally aware & active. Willing to drive/walk children to/from care/pre/school, do light housework, clean up after myself and the children's activities, do a bit of grocery shopping, am comfortable with pets & walking well behaved dog(s). I have no pet allergies. Eager to do light housework when children are asleep etc. Sun care aware & eager to play in puddles, the rain & be out in cold weather in appropriate clothing. March to December 2025 cared for a one year old and occasionally their 5 year old sibling in their home most days a week. Mid to late 2024 I cared on different days for 2 separate babies in 2 separate homes. Early in 2024 I cared for 6 yr old & 9 yr old siblings. Picking up from school at least 3 days a week some evenings til 1830. In 2023 I mostly worked in childcare. For the 2022 school year I cared for 4yr old & 6yr old siblings. Most of 1 day a week plus a few pre/school pick ups or drop offs. Primary carer's work roster generally had me doing early starts one week to late starts the next. Sometimes til later in the evenings. I am flexible into the evening or if primary care giver is delayed. Prior to that I worked full and part-time in childcare from 2007. I enjoy spending time with child/ren, singing songs, reading books, playing games & include them in preparing their own snacks & meals & finding out their interests to plan future activities. I have: WWVP card registration no: 96757 exp's 14/07/2029. Equivalent to NSW WWCC. My own ABN. Invoices of hours worked would be my $35/hr rate multiplied by the hours worked only. All my costs, except extra costs around your child related to if driving in my car, are covered by my rate per hour, ie: Personal liability insurance through NannySure. 1st aid certificate in childcare setting renewed in Jan 2025 & will renew the CPR every year. ANA (Australian Nanny Association) membership. Willing to be employed by a family. Rate per hour would be less. If you are requiring me to transport your child/ren in my car you would need to supply a baby/child/booster seats. I look forward to hearing from and meeting you.

Hi, my name is Sanne! I’m 27 years old, originally from the Netherlands, and I’m now living permanently in Canberra. I started babysitting when I was about 15 years old and grew up caring for many younger cousins, so working with children has always come naturally to me. I also worked as a flight attendant for around 6 years, which helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility, safety awareness, and adaptability. I love being active and outdoors, doing fun activities, playing games, and helping children with schoolwork. I’m also happy to assist with light household tasks, such as cooking and cleaning. I connect very easily with children — they often feel comfortable and safe around me within minutes — and I genuinely love spending time with them and supporting their development. I’m a non-smoker, comfortable with pets (I love animals!), and very reliable. I’m looking forward to helping a family by creating a warm, safe, and fun environment for their children.
