We will be home but need to work from home and need to attend a few important online meetings during the day so we will not be far away if you have questions or need help. Looking for a warm, patient, and most of all energetic babysitter with experience in disability. We have a gorgeous neurodivergent boy (autistic/ADHD/Intellectual Disability) who is 6 and developmentally around 1-2 years old. He is nonverbal, very active, and has a lovely happy temperament. He loves movement and water so any sort of water play or movement-based activities keep him entertained and regulated. He is very quick and we need someone who will be hypervigilant around him to keep him safe. We are basically needing an extra pair of hands a few times a week (Mon/Wed/Fri) 3-6pm during the school term with longer shifts during the school holidays. It would involve picking him up from school, minding him at home, nappy changes, doing some therapy exercises, and/or taking him out to the park. He has no sense of danger so does require constant following and supervision.

Our current Nanny’s one year visa is expiring however she hopes to return in March 2026, so please keep in mind that this job will be from October - February for now with the possibility it may be ongoing for the remainder of 2026 pending on our current Nanny’s plans to return.

I am on maternity leave from teaching so I’ll be around (but not hovering) whilst you are here, however I will be running errands outside of home and sometimes find me doing work for my husband.
You will mostly be looking after our 2.5yo and at times both boys for an hour or so (when I need to leave the house or catch up on sleep).
Our 2.5yo has anaphylaxis to cashews and pistachios and has an allergy to egg. It is vital you have first aid and are confident using an epipen.

(The lady who has been helping me for many years is going overseas during this time.) my eldest is 15 years old (she is very independent), I have a 12 year old who walks home from school (independent) and it’s the 2 younger girls (9 and 7) who need to be collected from school.
Basic meal prep and house keeping duties also required (laundry)
Tuesday Wednesday Thursday happy for you to start 2-6pm or 3-5:30). If you can just work one or 2 of these days this is ok too.
