Hello, we are looking for a regular part time nanny for two days a week on a Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday (ideally Monday + Tuesday). Next year, we might like to expand that to also include school pick up and drop offs a few days as well (but that would be TBD).
We have a two year old and a five year old. Our house is large and rambling, we are free range and messy play. We like adventure, building fires, going to the zoo, making slime, cooking, museums, you name it.
We're after someone who has the energy and inclination to play with the kids all day. Come up with activities, take them out, go do stuff. We've got a good house for it, but the kids largely need to be taken out each day as well, otherwise they get a bit stir crazy.
We do have some house rules that don't suit everyone. We are strictly screen free - no scrolling in front of the kids, no phones out, we'd expect it to be in your bag the whole day. The kids don't have to eat if they don't want to - we don't monitor or praise food, if they're hungry they can eat what we can offer, if they're not, they don't.
We'd also expect you to be able to be honest and communicate openly with us. If you aren't sure, ask. If something isn't working, tell us. Etc :) We will be WFH upstairs on the days you are with them.
We live in Coburg, a 5 minute walk from Coburg train station, and an 8 minute walk from Sydney road.
