We are a young professional couple with a 14 month old baby boy and a 10 year old cat living in the inner suburbs of Melbourne. Our baby boy is very active, super friendly and social. He loves to make friends with everyone he meets and has certainly pulled us out of our more introverted ways. We love spending our spare time visiting all the parks in the area, hitting up the library and experiencing all of Melbournes vibrant arts and culture scene.
We are looking for someone to help with our morning routine including getting the little guy ready for daycare including drop off, light household duties and some simple meal prep for the family. Shifts would be regular 6.30-9.30am Mon-Thurs with the occasional longer day to cover sick days etc.
Our beloved nanny is pursuing full time study, so we are looking for someone to fill her role.
You will be caring for our 3 year old boy, and our 5 year old girl, including kinder and school pick ups.
Our 3 year old boy is talkative, active, cheeky and very affectionate. He loves creative play, books and anything related to dinosaurs and Thomas the Tank Engine. Our 5 year old girl is articulate, insightful and imaginative. She loves messy play and creating involved scenarios in her games. She is a kind, protective older sister.
Jess (Mother) is a Paediatric physiotherapist working at the Monash Children’s Hospital and as a private clinician with local children. Lachy works full time in management for a property developer in Hawthorn.
Working hours will be:
• Monday – 7:30am to 9:30am (2 hours), including school and kinder drop offs.
• Thursday – 3pm to 5:30pm (2.5 hours), including kinder and school pick ups.
We would like a nanny who is kind and proactive. We are very intentional parents, and we would like someone willing to come alongside us and implement our strategies for managing behavior (the good, the bad and the sometimes ugly!)
Some light housework would be much appreciated – such as hanging out a load of washing, some folding, loading dishes in the dishwasher as they are created etc. Our kids love to help us and our current nanny with these tasks and enjoy being given little jobs to assist.
We also have a friendly 13yo border collie, so we are hoping for someone who is comfortable with dogs.

We are looking for someone to do the school and childcare pick up, prepare dinner for the kids, bath them and get them ready for bed. Hours would be 2-7pm twice a week- Thursday is a must (as our son has after school sport at the school that this person would need to take him to) and the other day to be Tuesday or Wednesday ideally. Require overnight care each week on Tuesday night through to Wednesday morning 10am (parent leaves for work very early in the AM) and every second Friday night through to Saturday 10am. On some occasions day time care as well on an adhoc basis if you are available.
