Hello!
We’re looking for someone to help us with in-home childcare for our seven-month-old son while I work from home.
He’s a very happy, cheery little baby and generally pretty easygoing. We’d love to find someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with babies and would be happy playing with him, reading books, taking him for walks, heading to the playground, and coming up with little age-appropriate activities to keep him entertained and engaged.
We’re hoping to arrange care two or three days a week, probably from around 9 or 10am until 4pm. We’re very flexible about which days of the week these are, so we’re happy to work around the right person’s availability.
Initially, the childcare would take place at my mum’s house in North Adelaide, and then at our own home in the North Adelaide area once we move in. We’re currently staying in a rural part of the Adelaide Hills, which isn’t particularly practical for someone to commute to regularly, so I’ll work from my mum’s house for the first few weeks.
As an optional bonus, if you happen to speak Spanish, we’d love for him to get some exposure to it during the day too. His dad speaks Spanish as a second language and would love for him to grow up learning some Spanish alongside English, but this definitely isn’t a requirement.
Once everyone has gotten to know each other and feels comfortable, it would also be wonderful to have the option of occasional Saturday-night babysitting.
If this sounds like something you might be interested in, we’d love to hear a little about you, your experience with babies, and your availability.
