We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to provide after-school tutoring, care, and transportation for our 16-year-old son, Hugo. About Hugo:
Hugo is a bright and engaging 16-year-old who faces several challenges, including visual impairment (no sight in one eye and moderate vision in the other), some motor skill challenges that means he requires extra support, and some mild learning issues. He is in Year 10 and a highly motivated student but requires structured support with his homework and assessments, particularly in maths, science, English, and commerce.
Responsibilities:
• After-school care (Monday-Friday, approximately 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM, occasionally until 7:00 PM):
o Picking Hugo up from school.
o Supporting him with his study planning for homework and assessments, including scheduling of work, note taking practices and organisation.
o Providing targeted tutoring support for Year 10 subjects, especially maths, science, English, and commerce, including reviewing homework and draft assignments, providing feedback, and some targeted instruction.
o Preparing his afternoon tea and snacks.
o Transporting him to and from the occasional after-school activities (e.g., speech therapy).
• Additional support (negotiable):
o Occasional meal preparation, considering Hugo’s dietary requirements.
o School holiday support (negotiable, ideally 10 AM - 3 PM, four days a week): Additional care and study support during school holidays, schedule to be agreed upon in advance
Ideal Candidate:
• Experience with and empathy for working children who require extra support, demonstrating a disciplined and creative approach to targeted academic assistance.
• Energetic, caring, and enthusiastic, with a genuine enjoyment of spending time with teenagers.
• Strong tutoring skills and understanding of the curriculum, particularly in Year 10 maths, science, English, and commerce.
• Ability to provide consistent and firm, yet supportive guidance.
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (we can provide our automatic car, or you can use your own).
• Valid Working with Children Check.
• Non-smoker.
Start Date: 1 May (including several months training/handover period with Hugo’s current helper).

Our family is looking for someone to take care of our daughters Sophie (4 years old) and Ella (currently 10 months) on Thursdays (8am till 5pm) and Fridays (8am till 4pm). We live in a house in Annandale, within a short walk to the shops, library and parks.
Obviously we're biased but Sophie and Ella are both delightful little girls. Sophie loves sticker books, reading, going to the park, doing chalk on the street and playing make believe games. Ella is a very happy baby, constantly smiling and very interactive - she is on the move, and loves chasing her sister around.
Ella is a very good day sleeper - still on two naps (9-10am and 1-3pm - ish) during the day. During her big sleep Sophie has some 'quiet time' watching TV or listening to Yoto. We’re hoping that our carer can assist with basic housework (such as prepping/cleaning up the girls food, putting on a load of washing, or hanging out laundry) during this down time.
Currently on Thursdays Sophie attends acrobatics in Newtown at 11:15-12:15. Ella loves crawling around the space while Sophie is in her class. If we continue with this, you will need to drive the girls there and home, but we are not wedded to sticking with it if it's all too much.
We are an easy-going family, with no strict rules, or dietary requirements - we are just looking for someone loving and like-minded who will be present and treat our little girls as if they were their own.

Hi there! Mum to a gorgeous 7yo girl, based in Alexandria. We're both working full time, and need help after school hours 3-6pm Tuesday and 330-600 on Wednesdays.
Pick up would be from school, and tbc what activities would be (will firm that up when she starts school) but it could play out like:
- picking her up to take to after school activities
- maybe she has a class onsite and you would need to pick up at 4, and ask would then be for you to perform some light household cleaning from 3-4
- potentially it may involve just taking care of her, taking her to park etc if no activity is on.
We sometimes also might ask you to pick her up plus one friend, as sometimes the parents in her class help each other out. If they were ever to happen it would always be only one kid - but just a heads up on that.
