Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I specialise in the provision of stimulating, nurturing and educational care for children of all ages/stages and developmental abilities. I first began a career in Early Childhood upon the completion of a Pre School Mothercraft Nurse Certificate and Diploma of Social Science (child care and education). For a period of over 20 years I worked directly with children, aged 0-8 years and in various care/education and management roles in the Child Care Sector. In recent years I have specialised working privately for families in a supportive, caring and multi tasked capacity as Nanny, Nanager, Personal Assistant, book keeper and House Manager. My work responsibilites have varied from night nanny to infants, carer and educator of pre school, primary and secondary aged children. I have worked casually, part time and full time and at times taken on sole care of children during their parents absence of anything from 2 days to 5 weeks. If you are looking for a highly professional, sincerely fun-loving and nurturing carer and educator for your child or children, I would love to hear from you.

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi, I’m Vanessa 😊 I’m 22 and currently studying to become a primary school teacher. This year was my second year working as a summer camp counselor in the U.S, providing 24/7 care for kids aged 6-17 during their 9 week programs. Last year, I ran arts and crafts activities and lived with girls aged 12-14. This year I worked closely with groups of children ranging from 6-10 year old as a general counselor, helping them through everything from daily routines to tricky emotions and building confidence along the way. I also regularly babysit for a few local families with kids aged 7, 8, and 11. I’m confident doing things like bedtime, preparing meals, and just making sure everyone’s happy, safe, and having a good time while you’re out!! I have a driver’s license, my own car, a police check, first aid training, and even a U.S. lifeguard certificate.

I'm 32 years old with over a decade of casual and industry experience. I'm looking for casual or permanent part-time positions. I encourage healthy eating and physical play as a good foundation for happy kids, and am a strong advocate for free range outdoor exploration. I have my full drivers license, an Employment Working With Children Check, and first aid qualifications including CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis. I have a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and I currently work permanent part-time Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and alternating Fridays in an early learning centre. My rates are $30 an hour, with overnight sitting $35. Caring for toddlers is the bulk of my experience, but I have looked after children of all ages, including newborns and teens. Please note that whilst I have previously done school drop-off/pick-up only jobs, they're not my preference. I enjoy actively engaging with children and planning engaging experiences. I have experience working with large families (5 or more children), children with autism, and chronically ill children. I am fully vaccinated against Covid-19. I'm looking for part-time positions, casual babysitting, and night nanny roles. LGBTQIA+ friendly

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Hi there! I am very excited about meeting and getting to know you. ABOUT ME: I have been providing childcare over the past 22 years, and I have looked after more than 50 children in this time. The last 9 of those years, I have been a Nanny. I have worked with many different families: with 1-4 children; twins with a younger sibling, all girls, all boys, brothers & sisters; with an age range of 9mths - 12 years old. As all children & families are different I like to stay adaptable, to meet the needs of the unique situation. Some children are runners, some are quite contemplators, others always need to be crafting and creating big cardboard constructions, while another is quite happy to sit while colouring in and drawing hrs on end. However they all ask questions non stop, lols. And I love that because of their curiosity, I too learn; from having to google answers to the questions I don’t have answers for, e.g. I now know the oldest living animal is the Greenland shark, and it is guessed to have a lifespan of 250-500 yrs. With the current oldest one guessed to be 300 years old! But I only learned this because one child I looked after LOVED the ocean and all its wonders. :) I find I lean towards the Montessori Method of teaching children. I follow the theme of their current interest for play, games and conversations, and I like to incorporate their current obsession, be it space or dinosaurs into our word & math games and everything else we do together. MORNING ROUTINE; breakfast, lunch boxes, school bag packing, day-care/kinder/school drop offs -For the little ones when at home and not at daycare/kindy. I like to have our week planned. Be it excursions to the zoo, park, an indoor play center, library time or classes that helps their development: that the parents have enrolled them into, or I have found that the Mum’s & Dad’s like; e.g. Gymbaroo, Ready steady go, All Sports etc., to activities we can do at the house like baking or painting or even a playdate with their friend/s. HOUSE MANAGEMENT; groceries, maintenance of pantry & basic medicine (ie expiry dates & organisation), light laundry duties, light house keeping, tiding up after myself & the little ones, keeping the kitchen clean & hygienic, school holiday & pupil free day planning, meal planning, food & meal prep (dietary requirements taken into consideration) multi-tasking and other Ad-Hoc tasks. AFTERNOON ROUTINE; networking with other parents & carers at the children’s school- that the children are friends with or do extra curriculum’s with, extracurricular coordination (this is where the networking can sometimes help with car pooling & swapping weeks), planning of play dates, supervise-assistance with homework and practice for their extra curriculum’s. With additional extras from me if wanted/needed or time permits (eg. Music theory, maths etc.) ***I have help children further develop their music skills with my attention and knowledge than what they get in 1 30min class a week. And I have helped with development of their Math & literacy skills. HOWEVER my proudest achievement was some how managing to help my French charge (when an AuPair in Paris) go from an almost F (from her former AuPair) in her French Class to an A. While I was only at a very basic beginner level with my own French skills. EVENING ROUTINE; Shower/bath time, dinner, oral hygiene, an evening game (if time permits) and attend their unique bedtime routine. HISTORY SUMMARY: •2002-2003 I started child caring when I was 14: for my piano teacher’s son. I cared for him 3 days a week, (after school) from the age of 2-8, while his mother worked from home: I had to master the skill of noise level control, while I was young & noisy myself. •2003-2005 Once I was 16 I began to babysit for other families during the evenings & weekends. •2006-2009 Durning my tertiary studies I babysat casually between my part-time job and classes. •2010-2015 I babysat and assisted as a mother's helper, whilst working 4 part-time jobs. •2016-2017 I was an AuPair in Paris. And fell in LOVE with France. •2017-2017 Back in Melb; I did causal & part-time child-care, for families with babies, toddlers & preschoolers. Until I found a family that needed a Full-time Nanny. NOTE: for the below the ages are how old the children were when I left. •July 2017-July 2020: F/T Nanny—4 Days a week: Full Days, for a family of 5; 3 girls aged: 7, 10 & 12. • Feb 2021-Aug 2021: Temp P/T Nanny—5 Days a week: Split days, for a family of 4; 1 boy aged 9 & girl aged 7. •Sept 2021-Dec 2024: F/T Nanny—5 Days a week: 2 Full & 3 Half days, for a family of 4: 2 boys aged 5 & 9. ESSENTIALS: - Valid Victorian Drivers Licence - WWCC: exp. 26/10/2028 - Police Check: exp. 20.09.25 - Level 2: First Aid (inclusive: Asthma, CPR exp. June 2025, & Epi-pen) exp. June 2027 - CV: with copies of my credentials - References If you have read this far, I look forward to receiving a message from you. ☺️

I am a bright and bubbly person with a mature mind and a nurturing heart. I offer extensive skills in housekeeping tasks such as cooking meals and baking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping and running errands. I am fully committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children in my care. I’m also very fun when it needs to be fun time! I love activities and getting the kids outdoors and less on the screens. It’s important children hold onto their innocence like we did when we were young. Being young is a treasured thing that is slowly disappearing because of technology. I believe children need to use their imaginations for as long as they can, it’s a crucial part in life as we grow up.
