Hi! My name is Talia, and I recently moved to Geelong to study. I have extensive experience working with children, as during my gap year in 2024, I worked at before- and after-school care at a primary school, as well as an LSO at a high school. I currently have an up-to-date WWCC, anaphylaxis and asthma training, first aid and CPR, a license, and my own car. I also have a growing number of young cousins and two younger siblings that I have looked after more times than I can count. Hi! I’m Julie, I’m a Jan Juc resident. I worked as a Teachers’ Aide for many years with children who had Special Needs. Most of that employment was at Kardinia International College, during that time l worked with children in kindergarten to year 10. I have developed a wonderful rapport with children and love spending time with them (and they with me!!) In the past l ran my own, private, family daycare from my home. I had many clients. My responsibilities varied from having children dropped off to my home before school, driving them to school, picking up after school and also caring for little people during the day. Whatever the parents requirements were at the time. I also was available to care for my clients children during school holidays. I have a current WWC, am extremely capable when it comes to first aid, given, in my past employment, l was required to renew my qualifications annually. I am extremely calm and proficient in emergency situations. I have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. I live alone, am now retired and have plenty of spare time on my hands. Hi there, I have just finished studying my certificate 3 and hope to possibly continue on with my diploma or bachelor part time this year. I have loved the study and the placements and adored the babies I was working with. I have just completed my 3 - 5 year old placement and had a bunch of fun with the kinder group. I also have been working in OHSC for the last year which I really enjoyed. This work was with 5+ years (primary). As much as I loved working in a group setting I find it much more fulfilling providing support and guidance one on one (or few basis) and concentrating on developmental goals and milestones. I love watching children learn and grow and feel I have the skills to challenge and support their needs as they progress.
