I am a very experienced ex nurse and child carer/nanny. I am mature, no ties and have certificates and references. I have taken care of 2 girls on a regular basis for 9 years. I have previously cared part time for a 11 year old girl for seven years and a five year old boy in my home for 18 months. Ive also cared for a 9 yr old girl on the spectrum once a fortnight and a 13 yr old boy also on the spectrum once a week. I have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren. Good morning my name is Carmel and I am very interested in caring for your 8 year old daughter. I have 6 grandchildren and love being involved with their lives. I have worked in the Education Department (in schools) for over 21 years as an Education Support Officer and also in the office. I worked as a Support Officer in East Gippsland for 3 years before gaining employment as a Pharmacy Assistant in Metung for 3 and a half years before moving to Yarragon in 2024. I gained in employment as a Pharmacy Assistant in Drouin not long after moving here. I am finding that retirement is a bit quiet and I am wanting to do more with my time and would love to spend time with children and enjoy being a part of their learning, development and having quality time together. I had a Police Check done in 2024 as I did some voluntary work in Aged Care when we first moved to Yarragon.
