Hi families, my name is Carly and I am 31 years old and live in Donnybrook, Melbourne. I am a mum to a seven month baby girl and am looking for a position that will suit you and I. My background is Early Childhood Care and Education. I have completed a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and hold a current WWCC, First Aid and CPR. I have over two years experience as an educator, with children across all ages, prior to becoming a parent myself.
I am very passionate about working with children. While I believe children should be given choices, responsibilities and opportunities to initiate their own learning and play, after becoming a parent myself, I see the importance even more about providing children with a warm and safe environment to grow, as well as, following routines so that both you as the parents and I are providing the same structure to ensure children continue to feel safe and comfortable. I love being part of children’s learning and development and watching them nourish to being the best version of themselves.
A little more about me, I was fortunate enough to travel a lot of the world in my 20’s. I met a lot of different people from different cultures and across different ages. I learnt so many things about their way of life and how the different cultures differed to our way of life in Australia. I am so thankful to have had these experiences because they are now experiences I can share with the children I teach, as well as, my own children. These experiences have also shaped who I am as a person, an educator, and now, a mum.
I am someone who loves being in the outdoors, I just love everything nature has to offer. I enjoy camping, fishing and spending time at the beach. I am also very grateful to be surrounded by my beautiful family and friends, who are incredibly supportive, who have also taken part in creating the person I am today. My family and friends, coupled with my experience around the world, have made me a more confident individual, who is independent, organised and responsible.
My passion for teaching and caring for children though, has grown since becoming a mum. Having so much time, and seeing how my daughter is learning things every day, it’s made me so much more excited about what I have to offer as a parent and as a nanny. I am looking for a family who will accept me as a nanny, as well as, allow me to bring my daughter with me. My experience working with large numbers of children will be beneficial in this situation, as well as, my ability to ensure I am meeting different needs of a large group, will also allow me, to provide the support you require in your family, while providing social and emotional skills for our children to develop.
There is so much more I would be open to sharing. Please get in touch as I would love to hear about you and your family.
